'Crumble Rumble' Visit no:2 - Yew Class

30th November 2016
The children from Yew Class had an amazing day at Ashton Court, along with 35 other children from Schools across Bristol.
On arrival we were put to work straight away making our apple crumble - recipe can be found below.
Whilst the crumble was cooking we were put to work planting a pear and an apple tree, we did get rather muddy.
After this we went to feed the deer and go on a tree walk around the Ashton Court estate.
Now, the best part of the day was when we returned back to the House to eat our home-made CRUMBLES.
All the Schools gathered in the Great Hall as our crumbles judged by the Head Chef from River Cottage Restaurant.
We came 3rd - which was an excellent result and the children were very pleased! A fantastic day all round.
